With a Masters in Organizational Behavior and a BS in Psychology and Design, Anya brings a unique, research-backed approach to design. With over a decade of experience working with both residential and commercial clients, she specializes in creating interiors that elevate mood, enhance productivity, and promote intentional living.
The Inspiration
Anya Costa's passion for intentional design (ID Inc.) was born from a personal experience—spending long hours in a poorly lit, uninspiring office that drained her energy and morale. She realized firsthand the profound impact of our surroundings on our mental state, motivation, and daily performance.
Driven by this revelation, she immersed herself in neuroscience, cognitive behavioral psychology, and environmental psychology—studying how elements like light, sound, color, texture, and spatial layout influence human behavior. Through her research, she uncovered a major gap in the way spaces are designed: too often, aesthetics take precedence over functionality and emotional well-being. This realization sparked her mission—to design environments with intention, where every detail serves a purpose and enhances the lives of those who inhabit them.
